Role Purpose
Reporting to our Home Claims Leader, the Home Claims Handler manages home claims within their authority limit, maintains an effective claims support function, and supports the management team in achieving SLAs by managing case loads effectively.
Job Details
* Manage a portfolio of claims to achieve optimal outcomes aligned with Hastings' 4Cs culture.
* Serve as a technical support point for colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Ensure claims are properly reserved, loss coded, and managed for accurate pricing.
* Maintain and update various system platforms (e.g., Fintech, GW, Respond).
* Support best practice and compliance, handle complaints and FOS referrals, and complete mandated training.
* Meet customer expectations and provide fair outcomes, challenging processes that do not prioritize customers.
Essential Skills
* Experience in customer service and communication, with strong verbal and written skills.
* Proficiency in remote work tools like MS Teams and Word.
* Knowledge of consumer duty compliance and support for vulnerable customers.
* Efficient claims management skills, including interpreting and tracking claims.
* Strong system navigation skills across multiple platforms.
* Understanding of general insurance and claims processes.
