Randstad Education is looking for hardworking, dedicated and reliable Learning support assistants to join our team in and around the area of Basildon. This role involves working closely with special educational needs children on a 1:1, small group, and intervention basis.
Many of our client schools excel in providing personalised flexible learning programmes and therapies to support children and young people education health and care plans. They also make sure that staff can think, act and are trained appropriately to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
Requirements:
* An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
* Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
* Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour is essential.
* Strong understanding of various special educational needs, along with excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
* Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behaviour.
