Seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Junior/Mid-Level Data & Planning Analyst to support strategic planning and data consolidation activities across key programmes and initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial services experience, advanced Excel capabilities, and a passion for working with complex data sets to drive business insights and planning accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Consolidate and manage complex data sets using advanced Excel techniques, including Power Query and complex formulas.
* Support project and programme leads in completing planning templates, business cases, and financial forecasts.
* Develop and maintain data collection templates to ensure consistency and accuracy across business units.
* Assist in the preparation and review of financial budgets and planning cycles.
* Leverage SharePoint (forms/lists) to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data inputs and planning assumptions.
* Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making
Key Skills & Experience:
* Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas) - essential.
* Proven experience working with complex data sets and data consolidation.
* Strong understanding of financial budgeting and planning processes.
* Experience in the financial services or banking sector - essential.
* Familiarity with SharePoint (especially forms and lists) - preferred.
* Knowledge of technology and financial infrastructure (FI) - desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
