We are eager to find talented individuals in the Logistics & Distribution industry. Currently, we are looking for a Technician to join our Engineering Team at our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.
The Role
We seek a technician experienced in maintaining plant and equipment in a major distribution centre setting.
The Facilities Technician will provide reactive and proactive maintenance within the FC, directly impacting site productivity and operations. Equipment performance directly influences capacity and throughput.
Key Responsibilities
* Prioritize health & safety standards in all tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing on various equipment and systems.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns, communicate effectively, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
* Conduct regular checks and system tests for safe operation.
* Ensure high equipment availability for internal customers.
* Collaborate with contractors and suppliers as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proficient in electrical and mechanical disciplines, with a versatile skill set.
* Experience in implementing and maintaining planned maintenance systems.
* Skilled in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diverse equipment.
* Ability to interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics.
* Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and information sharing.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Extensive experience with fault-finding and repairs on building systems including HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
* Proficient with hand and power tools and practical skills.
* Competent in basic computer applications and maintenance software systems.
