The role
As a Flying Grading Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting candidates at Middle Wallop or RNAS Yeovilton aspiring to become the next Apache, Wildcat, Merlin or F35 pilots through flying grading on the Babcock Grob 115E Tutor Aircraft.
Day-to-day, you’ll support dedicated students on a flying syllabus that caters to elements such as navigation, instrument flying and aerobatics, as well as:
* Carry out one to one Flying training.
* Complete end of course reports.
* Actively encourage and maintain a culture of military ethos throughout 6 FTS and the Royal Navy embracing the Student Care Directives.
* Maintain the highest level of safety and quality.
* Ensure that all communication, documentation, and typed material is of the required standard.
This role is full time, 40 hours per week, working Monday-Friday 0800-1700. and is based on site at Middle Wallop or RNAS Yeovilton.
Essential experience of the Qualified Flying Instructor:
* Previous military flying experience (QFI would be an advantage)
* Aerobatics experience
* Experience in formation flying.
Qualifications for the Qualified Flying Instructor:
* DTTT V2
* Completed the Military Flying Supervisors Course/Flight Authorisers Course
* Either: Hold or have held a CPL with IR (FI preferred)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
