Job Description
As a Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of integrity, prevention, and legal accountability. Reporting to both the Navantia UK Compliance Committee and the parent company’s Compliance Committee in Spain, you will help ensure that our operations align with national and international legal standards.
This is a dual-role position focused on:
• Promoting a culture of compliance in line with Navantia UK’s Code of Conduct, ensuring legal operations and mitigating risks related to fraud, criminal liability, and regulatory breaches.
• Coordinating compliance and privacy systems between Navantia UK and Navantia Spain to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
• Support the maintenance and development of compliance and privacy management systems.
• Assist in aligning UK and Spanish compliance frameworks.
• Help manage the whistleblowing channel and support internal investigations.
• Contribute to drafting and updating internal compliance and privacy policies.
• Assess legal, criminal, fraud, and data protection risks; propose mitigation strategies.
• Conduct due diligence and manage conflicts of interest for staff and third parties.
• Promote training and awareness initiatives on compliance and privacy.
• Support ISO certification processes.
• Liaise with UK authorities on compliance and privacy matters.
• Encourage the adoption of innovative technologies in compliance practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent.
• For candidates with formal training in compliance/data protection: no prior experience required.
• For candidates without formal training: minimum 1 year of experience in commercial, regulatory, or litigation law.
