Fixed‑term 12‑month contract to cover maternity, based in Manchester with one day on site per week and the remainder working from home.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for Employment Readiness (ER) guidance, providing extensive transactional advice to front‑line managers and area management teams.
- Coach managers to build confidence in handling their own queries and improve their overall performance.
- Understand and support the disciplinary and grievance processes, managing general conduct and performance concerns.
- Handle disciplinary activity up to and including gross misconduct, providing advice and making escalations as required.
- Provide training and induction for line managers on key policy changes and new ways of working.
- Analyse management information to identify trends and take appropriate action.
- Maintain accurate data records using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with iTrent is advantageous.
Qualifications
- HR Advisor with at least 12 months’ experience supporting a busy operation with case‑management responsibilities.
- Experience with TUPE processes is preferred.
- Accredited with a minimum of CIPD Level 5.
- Demonstrated capability to manage a busy case load and work effectively as part of a people team.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves, support colleagues, and contribute to a positive team culture without regard to hierarchy.
