Temporary Accounts Assistant Accounts Assistant – Swindon Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week | Approx 1–3 months | Office-based We’re working with a well-established client in Swindon who is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in accounts, and with excellent Sage 50 working knowledge. About the Role As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day finance tasks. You’ll need to be self-motivated, organised, and confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: Raising and processing sales and purchase invoices Bank and cashbook reconciliations Credit control and weekly sales postings Company cash and petty cash reconciliations Monthly deposit and balance sheet reconciliations Candidate Profile We’re looking for someone who: Has excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 Has previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role Understands bookkeeping to trial balance level Is confident with debit and credit processing Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail Can manage their own workload and meet deadlines Is proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience working in an accountancy practice or with incomplete records is a plus.
