Interim Systems Accountant
Nottinghamshire (With hybrid working model)
SF Recruitment requires a qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience Accountant to join our client on an interim contract. This position offers an exceptional opportunity and package for the successful candidate.
Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:
1. Management of system administration and acting as first support for system queries
2. Audit review of controls to identify risks
3. Supporting key projects aimed at continuous system improvement
4. liaising with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to resolve system issues and implement upgrades
5. Reviewing and maintaining all financial systems policies and procedures
6. Training and supporting finance team members and non-finance colleagues in the use of financial systems
7. Documenting key business processes for finance and related systems
8. Project work to identify potential improvements and best practices in finance systems
9. Streamlining and enhancing business reporting
10. Identifying and escalating potential risk areas
Our client seeks an accountant with exceptional systems skills, ideally with experience in larger organizations using multiple systems. Strong data management skills are essential, with the ability to handle large data sets across various platforms. Additionally:
1. Experience in mapping and implementing new processes, supporting their integration into the business
2. Experience with systems implementations is advantageous
3. A solid accounting background with an understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
4. Knowledge of a wide range of finance systems is highly beneficial
5. Strong stakeholder management and project management experience are preferred, along with excellent continuous improvement skills
