We are seeking an Aquatic Therapy Assistant to join us at the Hydrotherapy pool in Soundwell. We provide warm water and aquatic therapy to both adults and children with a variety of conditions including learning and/or neurological disabilities.
We are seeking a person with experience in pool maintenance and/or physiotherapy assistant skills. However, we can provide training and support to facilitate role development, please contact us to discuss the role and to arrange an informal visit.

* Support the work of Physiotherapists across Sirona with the provision and delivery of Aquatic therapy programmes
* Deliver specific skilled aquatic therapy programmes to pool users
* Support the pool manager to ensure that the pool operates to safety standards
* Participate in assessment of the service user in the pool as required by the therapist
* Participate in clinical supervision in relation to their own caseload with a more senior colleague
* Monitor service user’s response to therapy intervention and feedback to the Therapist, jointly setting new targets as required
* Management of pool time through booking system to ensure sufficient staffing and that service user needs are met to enable effective treatment
* Assist with the planning and delivery of groups as required
* Produce simple programmes as needed
