We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team in Borehamwood.
Responsibilities
* Identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving maintenance programs
* Providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department
* Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks
* Working on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V and completing tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment
* Using mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system
* Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services‑related issues
* Deputizing for the Shift Leader during annual leave or sickness
* Working overtime, including nights and weekends, as required
* Performing ad‑hoc duties as needed
Qualifications
* Recognised or time‑served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance
* Electrical competence/qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1‑2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition
* Mechanical competence/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
* Good multi‑skilled ability
* Experience working on 3‑phase motors, drives, and inverters
* Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience
* NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical
* Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements
* Ability to understand and write permits
