The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Production Technician operates heat treat equipment to perform finishing operations for the manufacture of chain and accessories for Campbell Chain brand of products. This is a 1st shift position, working 4 days a week and 10 hours a day Monday through Thursday 7 AM to 5 PM daily.
The Build (Responsibilities)
* Operate heat treat machines used in the production finishing of chain or forge fitting parts.
* Uses gauges and visual checks to monitor machine performance.
* Make proper adjustments to machines to run efficiently and to maintain high quality output.
* Cross-trained to operate numerous pieces of equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment when required.
* Move material to and from work area.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product, including reporting non-conforming materials.
* Report unusual conditions or questionable items to team lead or supervisor.
* Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
* Keep work area clean and orderly.
* Maintain accurate records as required.
* Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by team lead or supervisor.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
* High school diploma or GED.
* Minimum 1 year of similar work experience.
* Work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week) including Fridays.
* Stand and walk continuously for 8 hours.
* Climb stairs and ladders.
* Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
