Support Services Manager
We have an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team as Support Services Manager. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of the local community, supporting those most in need.
Cotswold Friends is a local charity based in Moreton-in-Marsh, which for over 45 years has been providing Community Transport, Befriending, Carer Wellbeing and Community Activities to older and vulnerable people in the Cotswolds. We aim to combat loneliness and isolation. Our voluntary services improve health and wellbeing and support independent living. We currently support over 2,500 people working with 340 amazing volunteers.
The Support Services team provides Befriending, Carer Wellbeing and Independence Support (including Cost of Living, Digital Inclusion and Hospital Support) to over 300 older and vulnerable people across the North Cotswold community each year. As Support Services Manager, you will manage all aspects of the charity's Support Services provision.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate to:
· Successfully drive forwards the Support Services programme, developing all services in line with the charity's 3-Year Strategic Plan and ensuring best practice service delivery for our clients.
· Manage the Support Services client caseload in conjunction with the team, organising assessment interviews and delivering client services following referral.
· Manage your staff team of Deputy Support Services Manager, Support Services Co-ordinator and Community Day Club Co-ordinator, working together to deliver key objectives and offering ongoing support and training.
· Recruit, train, support and appreciate volunteers delivering our services in the community as part of the Support Services team.
· Manage the Community Day Clubs, developing the programme to ensure the clubs thrive.
· Develop service awareness by building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
· Be our Safeguarding Lead, advising, implementing, monitoring and reviewing charity-wide safeguarding practice, supported by the Trustee Safeguarding Lead.
· Work with the Health & Safety Officer to ensure continued delivery of all Health & Safety requirements, ensuring risk is reviewed and monitored and processes and procedures adhered to.
· Ensure the charity database is regularly maintained and updated with all Support Services client and volunteer details and complete regular reporting
Essential skills and experience:
· Significant experience working with older or vulnerable people
· Desire to work in the community, supporting people at a difficult time
· Minimum Diploma 3 Health & Social Care
· Client assessment experience
· Minimum of 2 years in a team leadership or management position
· Excellent understanding of safeguarding and health and safety
· Full driving licence to allow travel across the North Cotswolds
An induction program and training in Cotswold Friends systems and processes will be provided.
The successful candidate will have to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
