Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Utilities Engineer - Mechanical to join our training team as an Assistant Trainer / Mechanical Workshop Staff member. The role involves supporting the training manager across the Midlands.
What does a Utilities Engineer do?
As a Utilities Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering professional engineering services to support utility operations, assisting the Utilities Training Manager / Team Leader in providing utility services to facilities, assets, and equipment.
Key Accountabilities
* Experience with mechanical design and implementation tasks across regulated sites, including production, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
* Adherence to management system requirements for Utilities Engineering activities.
* Providing engineering intelligence to Utilities Engineering.
* Delivering engineering tasks for utilities networks.
* Maintaining high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality, and being a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities
* Applying technical knowledge for design, standards, and system performance of network plant and equipment.
* Ensuring the availability of utilities plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
* Maintaining configuration baselines and managing load connection/disconnection approvals.
* Providing specialist engineering support for design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of network plant and infrastructure.
* Identifying and escalating risks related to network plant and infrastructure performance.
* Optimizing utilities engineering services delivery.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
* Maintaining Continued Professional Development.
* Performing other duties as required by the company, aligned with business needs.
Requirements include prior experience in industrial or utilities environments, capability to manage infrastructure facilities, and problem-solving skills using industry-standard software.
