Part Time Medical Receptionist required for a busy GP Practice
The Dalston Practice is looking for a part time receptionist to join our friendly practice team (hours per week 10-30, full time can also be considered depending on previous experience and performance).
Salary negotiable depending on experience (up to £13 p/h base for an excellent candidate with extensive experience) + significant performance based bonuses in addition.
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner is essential. Ability to work with other members of the team, and computer literacy is critical. Previous general practice experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
General receptionist duties include (but are not limited to):
Responding to queries both on the phone and faceto face in a polite manner.
Keeping the reception areas clean and tidy.
We are a friendly NHS Practice based in Dalston, Hackney, East London and are looking to recruit flexible, enthusiastic, and dedicated receptionists to work within our practice team. Our reception team is the first point of contact for ourpatients and other visitors to the practice. Inconjunction with the practice manager, identify his/her own training anddevelopment needs and participate in periodic appraisals.
Reception
Makeappointments for patients whether via telephone or face to face
Answerthe telephone in a polite manner and make telephone calls to patients as needed
Open upthe reception, check emails, etc. Ensure thatthe reception areas and waiting areas are clean, tidy and welcoming at alltimes
Be ableto use the practices computer system effectively and efficiently
Ensurethat the Practice Manager is kept up to date about any patient complaints,compliments or other comments
Participatein practice meetings (including minute taking), and attend/complete internaland external training as required
Complywith the practices health and safety policy and safeguard the health andsafety of all staff, patients and visitors to the practice
Complywith the practices data protection and data security policies
Beflexible with hours of work to cover sickness and holidays, if required, which maysometimes be outside of the post holders normal working pattern.
