Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well‑known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

As part of the wider Application Management team, the Integration Lead will head a team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of integration and interface solutions across our application landscape. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role, where you will actively contribute to solution design, coding, and troubleshooting alongside your team.

Key Accountabilities

You will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to deliver robust, scalable, and high‑quality integrations that support our business objectives. You will manage and mentor a team of integration specialists, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of projects. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing solution architecture, and driving continuous improvement in integration practices and technologies.

* ✔️ Oversee the design, development, and implementation of integration and interface solutions that align with business requirements.
* ✔️ Ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Contribute to system architecture and design decisions.
* ✔️ Allocate resources, manage team workload, and ensure timely delivery of integration projects.
* ✔️ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and communicate progress.
* ✔️ Oversee testing, validation, and deployment of integration solutions. Ensure solutions meet performance and reliability standards.
* ✔️ Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for integration processes, system interfaces, and technical specifications.
* ✔️ Stay updated on integration technologies and best practices. Drive innovation and process improvement within the team.


The Right Person

* ✔️ At least 3 years’ experience in integration/interface development or a related IT role.
* ✔️ Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
* ✔️ Strong understanding of integration patterns, middleware, APIs, and data exchange protocols (e.g. REST, SOAP, EDI).
* ✔️ Experience with integration platforms (e.g. Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
* ✔️ Familiarity with software development methodologies and project management practices.
* ✔️ Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* ✔️ Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* ✔️ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
