As a Mobile Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the International Private Bank, you are part of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
1. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
2. Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
3. Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
4. Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
5. Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
6. Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
7. Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8. Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with demonstrated applied experience in mobile application development.
9. Extensive experience developing mobile applications using modern frameworks and libraries (., Swift/SwiftUI/Combine for iOS, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose/Coroutines for Android).
10. Practical knowledge of mobile platform security best practices, including secure data storage, encryption, and authentication.
11. Experience building reusable libraries, frameworks, components, and APIs for mobile platforms.
12. Demonstrated hands-on experience in backend development using languages such as Java or Python, including designing, developing, and integrating robust server-side logic and APIs to support mobile applications.
13. Hands-on experience with database development and management
14. Practical experience in backend cloud engineeringand maintenance using platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry, including deploying, scaling, and monitoring cloud-based applications.
15. Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale, corporate environment, including working with database querying languages.
16. Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
17. Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
