A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join its growing London and South East business unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future pipeline of major new build and refurbishment projects across the commercial and residential sectors, with project values ranging from ÂŁ15m to ÂŁ120m+.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind identifying and securing new business opportunities in both the public and private sectors. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and expanding client relationships, positioning the business on strategic frameworks, and contributing to tender submissions and pre-construction activities.
Key responsibilities include:

Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities across London and the South East.

Managing performance and relationships on key public sector and framework agreements.
*
Collaborating with pre-construction, estimating and proposals teams to add strategic insight to bids.
*
Leading conversations with clients and consultants to understand their needs and shape winning strategies.
*
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
*
Identifying emerging markets and helping the business stay ahead of the competition.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and strategic networker with a strong understanding of construction delivery, customer relationship management and market dynamics.
You will have:

A proven track record in business development within the construction sector.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
