1. Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
+ Supervise and motivate the deli team.
+ Create staff schedules ensuring adequate coverage during busy times.
+ Train new staff and provide ongoing support.
2. Customer Service:
+ Ensure the deli section provides excellent service and meets customer needs.
+ Assist customers with special requests or complaints professionally and courteously.
+ Maintain a neat and attractive deli area.
3. Stock and Inventory:
+ Order stock and ensure the deli is well-stocked with fresh products.
+ Perform regular stock checks to prevent waste and ensure proper product rotation.
+ Keep the deli area clean and organized.
4. Health and Safety:
+ Adhere to all food safety regulations to ensure product safety.
+ Maintain a hygienic working environment.
+ Ensure staff follow health and safety guidelines.
5. Sales and Cost Management:
+ Monitor deli sales and expenses to meet budget targets.
+ Assist in waste reduction and cost control initiatives.
6. Product Quality & Development:
+ Ensure high quality and appealing deli products.
+ Work with suppliers to introduce new products and improve offerings.
2. Skills and Qualifications:
o At least 2 years' experience in a deli, food retail, or similar environment.
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent customer service skills.
o Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
o Ability to manage stock and control costs.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
