Associate Barrister (Nottingham, Manchester or Birmingham) Our client is a leading UK & Ireland law firm with a strong in‑house advocacy team. They are seeking an Associate Barrister to join their nationally recognised in-house barrister team, working on high‑profile matters across education, health, employment, civil litigation, social care, environment, planning and local government. The Role Conduct advocacy across civil courts, inquests, tribunals and public inquiries (subject to audience rights). Prepare statements of case, skeleton arguments, applications and other court documentation. Advise colleagues and clients on procedural matters. Manage your own varied caseload while receiving support, supervision and professional clerking. Undertake legal research, attend hearings, and handle key administrative tasks. Contribute to business development through seminars, writing and team support. About You Experience in civil, education, employment, regulatory or inquests work (desirable). Strong drafting, advocacy and research skills. Confident, organised, detail‑focused and commercially aware. Able to work independently and as part of a wider advocacy team. Strong communicator who can build effective relationships. Willing to travel to other offices when required. Why Apply?
