For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work varies from constructing viewer experiences in teams' hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, elevating each of the 24 races a year. We work closely with our suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all of our work.
Live Wire provides AV technology for all genres of events, including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance. We collaborate with large concert halls in London such as Southbank Centre, Barbican, and Sadlers Wells to provide technicians, support, and equipment.
We are looking for AV technicians to join our traveling team, working closely with clients such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Using cutting-edge equipment, technicians need a broad overview of multiple events, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. They must work under pressure to exceed client expectations and continually seek improvements to equipment, events, and team performance.
Responsibilities include the meticulous care and management of equipment, proactive packing procedures to ensure safe shipping, ongoing maintenance throughout the season, and prompt action on any damages or repairs.
Technicians are responsible for writing comprehensive race reports, providing detailed insights into the build, scheduling, equipment usage, and sustainability tracing after each event. Timely delivery and distribution of these reports to relevant parties are essential.
We seek AV technicians who can mentor junior team members, fostering confidence in event build and operation, and exemplifying high work standards. Collaboration with the wider operations, production, project, and finance teams is vital to ensure seamless race delivery and continuous improvement.
We require full-time commitment from our AV Technicians.
Responsibilities:
* Operate high-profile shows alongside world-class drivers and musicians.
* Produce comprehensive production schedules and kit lists for clients and crew.
* Write debriefs for management and clients after each race, highlighting action points and improvement ideas.
* Maintain equipment, report damages, and take corrective actions.
* Self-manage and motivate while working independently.
* Build and maintain positive client relationships.
* Communicate effectively with the team on track and back in the UK.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in various event demands.
* Specialization in lighting, sound, or AV, with the confidence to oversee all project aspects.
