The Role
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering complex programmes on time and within budget. Acting as the main customer interface, you will manage cross-functional programme teams and ensure the seamless delivery of customer requirements to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Define programme scope, goals and deliverables that align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
* Develop and maintain detailed programme plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
* Act as the principal point of contact for customers on all contractual and programme matters.
* Lead, motivate, and manage programme teams to ensure successful outcomes.
* Monitor and control programme progress, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
* Proactively identify and manage risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
* Conduct post-programme reviews and lessons learned exercises to drive continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with company standards.
Skills & Experience
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Proven track record in project/programme management, with hands-on experience of managing the full project lifecycle.
* Strong customer management experience, with the ability to influence and develop long-term relationships.
* Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and an understanding of commercial, finance and contract management.
* Proficiency in MS Office and project management toolsets.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
* Commercial awareness and diplomacy.
Personal Attributes
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a positive outlook and a collaborative approach. You will be equally comfortable working independently or leading teams, with strong communication and organisational skills. A willingness to travel occasionally and to engage with production environments is required.
