Fleet Manager - Yorkshire

A respected business is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead and develop its extensive vehicle operations. You will oversee a large fleet of vehicles including HGVs, LCVs and specialist machinery. Your remit will include ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, safety and service excellence across all fleet activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop the fleet function across multiple sites.
Oversee vehicle acquisition, maintenance and replacement programmes to optimise operational efficiency.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for vehicle supply, leasing and maintenance.
Drive continuous improvement in fleet utilisation, sustainability and cost control.
Provide strategic leadership, reporting directly to senior management on fleet performance and compliance metrics.
The desired candidate should have:
Proven experience managing a large, mixed fleet including HGVs and specialist vehicles.
Strong understanding of transport compliance, health & safety and fleet optimisation.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Commercially astute and results driven, with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
A current, relevant O Licence qualification (National/International CPC).
