Senior Finance Transformation Manager
Location: UK This role can be largely remote but you must be able to commute to Manchester or Brentwood when required.
We are seeking a highly experiencedSenior Finance Transformation Managerto lead end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, driving process optimisation, system enhancements and organisational change. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our finance function by ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business strategy.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of strong finance expertise, project/program management experience and change management capability. They will partner with senior stakeholders to define transformation roadmaps and deliver sustainable outcomes.
This role is for a UK general insurer who specialise in motor trade. They underwrite both commercial and personal lines and have experienced serious growth in the past two years.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap Development Define and deliver the finance transformation strategy, aligning with organisational goals.
Identify opportunities to improve finance operating models, processes and technologies.
Program Leadership Lead large-scale transformation projects across finance, covering areas such as ERP implementations, process automation, reporting standardisation and shared services.
Manage end-to-end project delivery including scoping, planning, execution, risk management and benefits realisation.
Stakeholder Engagement Partner with the CFO, senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure transformation outcomes are business-led and strategically aligned.
Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to executive leadership.
Process & Technology Optimisation Drive implementation of digital finance solutions
Standardise and streamline financial processes across business units and geographies.
Change & People Leadership Lead change management activities to embed new ways of working.
Mentor and coach teams to build transformation capability within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Professional Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) strongly preferred.
Experience Experience in finance transformation, consulting, or senior finance leadership roles.
Proven track record leading complex, finance transformation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A) and ERP/finance systems
Background in management consulting (Big 4 or equivalent) desirable.
Experience in the insurance sector preferred
