Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team from September, supporting a variety of primary schools in the Oldham area. This flexible role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in different school settings and supporting children’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Support classroom teachers in delivering learning activities and assisting pupils across different year groups
Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to support learning and development needs
Assist with behaviour management to ensure a positive and safe learning environment
Help prepare and organise classroom resources and materials
Support pupils with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Supervise pupils during activities, breaks, and lunchtimes as required
Follow school policies and procedures to maintain consistency and safeguarding
Person Specification:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably primary schools
Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Patience, flexibility, and a positive approach to supporting children’s learning
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
