The SID is a fully integrated team that will bring together the strengths, capabilities, and knowledge of the partners and Network Rail. It will own the renewals work bank, manage it at portfolio level and drive a transition to a production management ethos. The SID is commercially aligned and jointly incentivised creating a 'share in success' environment. Business partners within the alliance will generate profit through performance against the Final Determination. The four partners, VolkerFitzpatrick, Octavius, Atkins, and VolkerRail are aligned to the core asset disciplines with the fifth partner, Network Rail Minor Works, being multi- disciplinary for low complexity, low value works.
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager within rail to work on the Track Renewals delivery for the Southern Renewals Enterprise. The project will total 5+5 years of multiple individual schemes across Network Rail's Southern Route (Kent, Sussex & Wessex).
You will manage a team of track renewals personnel, and interface with other infrastructure support functions based at Tonbridge Depot.
About you
Experience working on track renewals projects.
Proven technical and project management abilities
Strong organisational and management skills
Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
Sufficient experience required in rail construction.
Extensive experience in delivery of Projects on Network Rail Infrastructure
Ideally hold or working towards an APM qualification
PTS
Commercial Awareness essential
Line Management experience essential, ideally holds an ILM qualification
Temporary Works Co-ordinator experience an advantage
