Main Purpose of Role
To work with Divisional Officers and the Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer, Local Authorities and in partnership with private sector interests and other responsible authorities as may be relevant, to undertake locally based proactive licensing work ensuring that licensed premises throughout the County are managed effectively and in line with the force licensing strategy. To work with all of the above (as relevant) in the granting of licences, new variations or renewals of existing licences, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, environmental considerations and Force strategy and policies.
Key Skills & Experience Required
The candidate will need to be competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. This will enable them to be efficient and have experience of inputting and extracting data from a database.
You will be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines, be able to deal effectively with enquiries and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is necessary to be considered for this role. Previous Licensing and/or enforcement experience desirable but not necessary.

Vetting Level – Recruitment
You must have resided in the UK for at least the last 3 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).
