Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 (depending on experience)

We are a well-established main contractor based in the Rochester (ME2) area, delivering projects across residential, groundworks, and general construction sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and take responsibility across multiple project types.
This is a key role within the business, offering long-term stability, involvement across all sectors, and the opportunity to influence commercial strategy and project delivery.
Role Responsibilities

Full commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account

Preparation and management of budgets, cost plans, and cash flows
*
Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
*
Valuation of works, applications for payment, and cost reporting
*
Management of variations, change control, and final accounts
*
Support tendering and pricing activities where required
*
Work closely with project managers, site teams, and directors to ensure commercial performance
*
Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
*
Experience across residential, groundworks, and general construction projects
*
Strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams
*
Strong communication and negotiation skills
*
Proactive, commercially aware, and solution-focused
*
Must be based locally to the Rochester (ME2) office or within a reasonable commuting distance
*
Full UK driving licence
