Operational Oversight: Ensure the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) operates at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards. Maintenance Leadership: Lead preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives to safeguard plant longevity. Performance Optimization: Constantly monitor and improve plant performance, identifying areas for technical enhancement. Project Management: Play a vital role in implementing engineering projects that improve operations across multiple sites. Team Leadership: Motivate and guide the engineering team, ensuring a culture of technical excellence and safety compliance. Who You Are My client is looking for a leader who balances high-level strategic planning with a hands-on technical background. To be successful, you will need: Experience: Proven experience in an engineering leadership role specifically within MRFs or similar heavy industrial environments. Qualifications: Formal qualifications in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, along with a minimum of an IOSH Health & Safety certification. Technical Skills: Essential welding skills for equipment repair. Proficiency in project management with a track record of seeing technical projects through to completion. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse technical team.
