We are looking to fill positions within the Techpro warehouse for the right candidate to learn the role of an in-house technician, to be able to pick and prepare Audio, Video and Lighting equipment.
To Prep all equipment to a high standard which we set within the company, for use onsite for all aspects of the conference, awards, and corporate industry.
Day-to-day duties will include.
1. Using our in-house computer system (TBS) to look at delivery and return dates of all jobs to maintain production documentation and/or program logs.
2. To assist in picking and prepping equipment as per our system and to deliver high quality sound and visual equipment and support for events, performance, and conference hire both on and off site.
3. To assist in checking and maintaining all equipment to the best quality and standards.
4. To work alongside current warehouse technicians and to liaise with our projects team to meet job requirements.
5. To assist in “Returning” equipment after jobs, and ensure equipment has returned fully operational, and to log faults as and when they arise, processing any damaged equipment for any repairs.
6. To log items both in and out of the warehouse using our system (TBS) and to log scanned items both in and out.
7. Logging and monitoring stock levels and maintaining correct values of Assist in the development of content and/or production assets.
8. Contribute to the production process and adjust to operational changes as required.
9. To reflect on the production and to offer ideas for continuous development and improvement and growth.
10. Review your own professional practice and keep up to date with trends and new technology.
11. Provide Technical support to colleagues for Audio & Visual Productions.
12. Research, identify and suggest resources, logistics and equipment taking into consideration constraints.
13. To ensure a clean and tidy workplace, and to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in all areas of the workplace.
Requirements:
Applicants should be literate and numerate.
Grade C/4 and above in English Maths and IT are required.

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You’ll finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.
Summative Portfolio
You will be expected to deliver projects throughout the apprenticeship. Each project would involve research, knowledge and may be submitted in writing, a presentation or professional discussion.
Duty 1 Interpret system specifications for productions, live performance and events. These systems can include sound or lighting or video.
Duty 2 Assemble and configure systems to meet the specification requirements for sound, lighting, power or video.
Duty 3 Test, troubleshoot and maintain equipment and systems.
Duty 4 Collaborate with stakeholders and work with team members.
Duty 5 Operate and maintain technical equipment.
Duty 6 Dynamically risk assess the work environment and situation. Adapt working practices to ensure the safety of self and others.
Duty 7 Disassemble and store technical equipment safely and efficiently at the end of the event, ensuring that the integrity of the components is maintained.
Duty 8 (Live Event Technician (LET)) Repair complex systems and sub-assemblies at component level.
Duty 9 (Live Event Technician (LET)) Utilise lifting and rigging equipment to set up event systems.
Duty 10 (Live Event Technician (LET)) Specify equipment and system requirements suitable for the operational environment.
Duty 11 (Live Event Technician (LET)) Prepare and pack systems for local or international transportation prior to the event.
