Job Overview
We have a one-year fixed-term vacancy to cover maternity leave. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and forward‑thinking individual to join our Biomedical Scientist team and contribute to the continued development of the Biochemistry Department at Wexham Park Hospital.
The laboratory is fully accredited by UKAS and holds IBMS training status for both Registration and Specialist Portfolios, offering an excellent environment for professional development. Within the laboratory, we currently utilise Winpath Enterprise and Abbott Alinity ci analysers in the routine biochemistry section. Our specialist chemistry laboratory is equipped with TOSOH G11, Kryptor Compact Plus, and OsmoPro multi-sample micro‑osmometer analysers, and we use a Northstar Bio‑UV spectrophotometer for xanthochromia analysis.
We are a fully automated laboratory, supported by a GLP track system, enabling efficient and high‑quality diagnostic services. Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) is one of the largest NHS pathology networks, providing a patient‑centred service that delivers safe, high‑quality, clinically‑led diagnostics across its contractual joint‑venture hospitals.
