A well established and community focused firm in East London is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its friendly and supportive team based in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to take on a hands on role managing a meaningful caseload within a collaborative and approachable environment.

The Role
You will manage an existing caseload of family matters, with a focus on domestic abuse and private children law, while also supporting the development of new work.
Your responsibilities will include liaising directly with clients, preparing legal documents, assisting with court proceedings, and ensuring files are progressed efficiently. You will play a key role in supporting clients through often complex and sensitive situations, providing clear communication and a high standard of care.
This is a varied and responsible role offering real exposure and the opportunity to develop your experience within family law.
The Candidate
You will have prior experience working as a paralegal within family law, with exposure to legal aid work, domestic abuse cases, and private children matters.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own caseload are essential, alongside excellent client care and communication skills.
You will be confident handling sensitive matters with empathy and discretion.
A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team, is key.
