This is an exciting opportunity to relocate to the island of Jersey. We are an expanding hospitality group of 6 outlets ranging from casual dining to a high end seafood restaurant. We are looking for an executive head chef to lead our team of motivated and talented chefs across 7 kitchens.
We are a young progressive group looking to provide a good work/life balance. The position comes with 2 days off per week and a generous holiday allowance. We will assist with the relocation process and sourcing auitable accomodation in Jersey which is itself a low income tax jurisdiction.
The ideal candidate will have the following abilities:
Strong motivational and leadership skills
In depth knowledge of food hygiene and allergens
Creativity and flair in menu design
Excellent understanding of commercial aspects including GPs, staffing costs, purchasing and menu costing
Proven experience in similar establishments
Great communication skills
The role:
Design and implement menus and cook amazing food across a diverse range of styles
Manage, mentor, train and develop a large team of chefs working in 7 kitchens
Work with the purchasing manager to secure the best produce at competitive rates
Achieve and maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety
Work alongside the board in providing timely management information and reporting
Manage the cost control and inventory for the group
The package:
Salary of £53,000
Performance-related bonus of up to £17,000
Share of the service charges
