SEMH Primary Teacher (QTS)
Prospero Teaching is recruiting two dedicated and resilient Primary Teachers (QTS) to work in a specialist school setting in the Salisbury area. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a structured, nurturing environment designed to help students re‑engage with education.
You will take responsibility for delivering a primary curriculum adapted to meet individual needs, focusing on building positive relationships, emotional regulation, and academic progress. This role requires a calm, consistent, and highly supportive approach, with an emphasis on behaviour management and student wellbeing.

The Role:
1. Deliver a primary curriculum tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
2. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
3. Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management
4. Build strong, positive relationships with students
5. Create a safe, structured, and consistent classroom environment
6. Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
7. Track and assess progress in both academic and personal development
8. Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
9. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
10. Experience working with SEMH, behaviour needs, or additional needs
11. Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
12. Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
13. Confident working in a structured, specialist environment
14. Committed to supporting both academic and emotional development
15. Suitable for experienced teachers or confident ECTs
Contract Details:
16. Position: SEMH Primary Teacher (QTS)
17. Location: Salisbury
18. Start Date: ASAP
19. Working Pattern: Full‑time
20. Pay Rate: £32,916 – £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
21. Key Stage: Primary

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
23. QTS required
24. SEMH or specialist‑setting experience beneficial
25. Safeguarding training can be provided
