Are you experienced in supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking resilient and compassionate support staff to work in a further education setting in the Scunthorpe area, providing vital assistance to learners facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEMH needs in both group and one-to-one settings.
* Build trusting relationships that promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
* Respond effectively to challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches.
* Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs, ideally in an educational or care setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
* Team Teach or PRICE training is highly advantageous.
* Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.
