Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable individual to join our Team in Sterile Services. You will need to have a flexible approach and work within all production areas of the department. Experience in an area with Quality Management Systems is desirable.
Responsibilities
* Undertake decontamination, processing and preparation of packs, theatre trays, instrumentation and sundry items.
* Assist in stores control, sterilisation of all packs, basic testing of equipment and provision of a collection and delivery service.
* Support a team-based environment and ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
Working hours
Shifts/Hours: 2 pm–10 pm, Monday to Friday and/or 9 am–5 pm, Saturday/Sunday. Applicants must be able to work these hours and weekends.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Neat and clear handwriting
* Good language skills
Desirable criteria
* Administrative skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* NVQ3 in Decontamination
* Knowledge of quality standards
* H.S.D.U. experience
* Computer literacy
* Good memory skills
* Ability to work on own initiative
Experience
* Essential: Ability to learn production-type work; Working under pressure and at speed
* Desirable: Experience of manoeuvring heavy trolleys; Experience in related roles
