Responsibilities
* Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including curtainsiders and box trailers to transport goods efficiently across designated routes.
* Load and unload cargo ensuring secure handling of freight.
* Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with legal requirements.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments.
* Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws diligently to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
Requirements
* Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or route driving with a valid Class 1 (or equivalent) license.
* Demonstrated ability to operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
* Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and vehicle inspections.
* Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients.
* Ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment while maintaining high safety standards.
