Clinical / Practice Director - Devon

Are you an exceptional leader ready to make a significant impact in the veterinary field? Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to take on the role of Veterinary Clinical Director / Practice Director. This is a rare chance for both seasoned clinical leaders and adept operational managers to step into a pivotal role.

This senior leadership position is crucial in shaping the strategic direction, performance, and culture of the primary care veterinary services. You will lead teams across multiple sites, drive operational excellence, meet financial KPIs, ensure high-quality patient care, and oversee the delivery of safe, effective, and responsive services.

Our client is a collaborative and forward-thinking practice, RCVS-accredited as a first-opinion hospital and referral practice in Devon, supported by three branch practices in the local area. The supportive senior leadership team shares common values and is committed to fostering a positive work environment. The state-of-the-art facilities include CT, 3D ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, dental imaging, and separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotics. There is a close relationship with local referral hospitals and the practice benefits from regular CPD events and dedicated input from them. Our client is committed to your professional development and leadership growth, actively supporting certificate study both financially and clinically.

Candidates from either a clinical or non-clinical leadership pathway are encouraged to apply. Essential qualifications include proven leadership experience within the veterinary industry, the ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and drive performance improvement, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

For those clinically qualified, MRCVS for Clinical Director positions, and experience in clinical leadership, governance, or service improvement is required. For operationally qualified candidates, experience in veterinary practice management, clinical leadership, practice development, and client experience is essential.

Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including five weeks of holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave, relocation support, RCVS and VDS fees paid, employer contribution pension scheme, generous staff discount scheme, life assurance, e-car salary sacrifice scheme, enhanced equal family leave, and extensive internal and funded external CPD.
