We are recruiting for a talented Contracts Manager to join us here at Octavius. We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK. Our busy highways business is seeking someone who is capable of running a portfolio of projects valued between £7.5m - £15m. These will be spread across a region encompassing Hampshire, Surrey, M25 corridor, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Sussex, with a mixture of clients to include Local Authorities, Tier one contractors and National Highways. Providing leadership to your operational teams you'll also have commercial responsibility and working with the work-winning team some business development duties also.

travelling customer has an improved experience in and around our infrastructure projects.

Ensuring that our people are fully engaged, meeting their clearly defined responsibilities and delivering maximum performance whilst remaining safe and healthy. * Process: To help develop and adhere to an efficient set of Octavius systems and processes that create a lean delivery model, with continuous improvement and
innovation at its heart. Ensure that legislative, Octavius and customers' mandatory policies and procedures are delivered appropriately within a governance framework.
* Financial: Accepting accountability for profit and loss for a package of projects, successfully return a profitable outcome, in line with the agreed annual targets. Delivery of volumes within the customer efficiency targets and of a progressive turnover growth with a sustainable profit before tax.

You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
* Has managed at Project Management level, a broad section of disciplines such as infrastructure, groundworks, RC structures, steelwork, etc and can demonstrate a high level of understanding in these areas.
* Experienced at working with National Highways owned infrastructure.
* Experience of personal responsibility of running projects or running a portfolio of work in excess of £10 million.
* Detailed understanding of safety leadership from a policy and behavioural perspective.
* Commercially and contractually astute and understands how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances.
* SMSTS competent.
* Good level of IT skills.
* Good level of programming knowledge.
