Play Barn & Catering Senior Assistant Location: Birdworld, Farnham Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (including alternate weekends and bank holidays) Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Birdworld is on the lookout for a Play Barn & Catering Senior Assistant to join our team and help deliver joyful, high-quality experiences across our catering outlets and new indoor Play Barn. About the Role To provide general assistance within all areas of the Play Barn and catering across the park, to exceed customer expectations and maximise sales and profit opportunities. To ensure the smooth running of all catering operations across the park and the guest experience in the Play Barn. What You’ll Do Support in the induction training and development of the team Support with the daily allocation of tasks to meet the needs of the guests and the business Assist with daily set up of the kitchen and front of house and ensuring any issues are reported Ordering products and ensuring stock levels whilst maintaining budgets Provide accurate information to help our guests make informed choices about the food and drink options on offer. Manage allergy queries and oversee the preparation of food and drink by ensuring the team are aware of the allergy and that they take all necessary precautions to prevent cross contamination. Share product and operational knowledge through supportive and effective communication What You’ll Bring Excellent customer service Previous catering experience in food service or hospitality Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships at work Knowledge of health & safety/food safety legislation (desirable) Relevant product knowledge with regards to allergens (desirable) Essentials CIEH Level 3 or willingness to complete the training Requirement to undergo a DBS check Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and adapt to business needs Why Work With Us?
