In this challenging role, you will lead on audit teams, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that audits are delivered to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities will include managing the financial management of a portfolio, ensuring adherence to the firm's risk management and quality control procedures, identifying and recognizing business and sales opportunities, and supporting Partners and Senior Managers in developing new business relationships and proposals.
Another important aspect of this role is recruiting, retaining, developing and motivating employees, which includes participating in graduate recruitment, ensuring timely completion of job appraisal documentation and implementing development plans for team members.
Additionally, you will work closely with other Audit Managers within the business group, contributing to resource planning, merit rate meetings and efficiency gains.
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with colleagues and communicate with senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting standards, including UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements, as well as experience in systems/controls testing and substantive auditing.
This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks and prioritize their workload effectively.
