About The Role
The Repair and Maintenance Supervisor manages remote operational teams across a geographical area. You will drive operational performance through effective leadership, ensuring teams work productively, possess the necessary skills, and prioritize health, safety, and wellbeing.
Constantly improving customer service by delivering same‑day solutions. Each day brings a fresh challenge with a strong customer focus, safe working, and quality delivery at the heart of everything you will do.
Location: Shropshire.
Responsibilities
* Issue daily work packages.
* Monitor safety and compliance on site.
* Approve and check daily risk and method statements.
* Carry out cat downloads.
* Undertake safety, compliance, and quality audits.
* Deal with customer complaints positively.
* Lead toolbox talks.
* Manage resources such as reinstatement, materials, and plant.
* Work with the scheduling team to ensure programmes are managed and delivered.
* Help manage the defect programme and ensure KPIs are met. Attend Highway Meetings.
* Liaise with Support Services and Streetworks Team to manage FPN and Section74 liabilities.
* Complete team inspections to maintain high compliance with a focus on quality and first‑time reinstatement.
Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance
* Maintain full compliance with HSEQ regulations and Severn Trent Water standards.
* Conduct and oversee regular risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Promote a strong safety culture across all operational teams, reinforcing adherence to safe working practices.
Customer Experience & Engagement
* Ensure minimal disruption to customers and communities while conducting survey activities.
* Coordinate with customer liaison teams to provide clear communication and engagement where access is required.
* Brief project teams on customer‑related concerns to maintain a positive perception of Severn Trent Water.
