Physical Education Instructor
A vibrant school in Littlehampton have an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in sport and physical education. They are seeking an individual with a passion to encourage others to take part in beneficial sports activity and believe in using sports to express themselves. Physical education can often be a child’s outlet and way to communicate with others and this school is looking for a teaching assistant to encourage this. This school works and supports vulnerable children who have social, emotional and mental health needs, who have faced complex trauma, difficulties at school and, have often missed periods of education and therefore benefit greatly from physical education.
All children have an EHCP and follow individualised learning plans and strategies. The children are working at different levels and follow an adapted curriculum that matches to the individual student’s needs that is personally challenging and exciting for them. The classes learn in groups of 6-10, allowing the teacher to really build strong relationships with their students and allows time for individualised support.
Requirements-
Due to the nature of the children’s SEMH needs and history, they often display challenging behaviour and therefore need a teacher who will show them unconditional support and love, that can remind them that it is okay to feel big emotions and help children re-build a love of learning and trust in others.

* Experience working secondary aged students or young adults.
* Experience or a passion for working with children with additional needs.
* Experience or a passion for managing challenging behaviour.
If you have a passion for changing children’s lives, for showing them unconditional love and care and for making a positive impact on not only their education but also their confidence and self-esteem- This school would love to hear from you!
