Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Nationwide roles available
Salary: £32,421.43 per annum
Working Hours: 45 hours per week
Due to new business, we have a fantastic opportunity for General Maintenance Technicians to join our teams across the UK.
The role involves carrying out general maintenance repairs on a reactive basis, including fabric, surfacing, and pipework, as well as planned maintenance to ensure site safety and compliance. The position is mobile, covering various sites in a local area (4-5 sites).
We pride ourselves on completing tasks to high standards efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to all Health and Safety laws.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute maintenance activities at each site, completing PPM and reactive jobs within SLA timelines.
2. Follow Health and Safety and Compliance guidelines for all tasks.
3. Communicate effectively with the team and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
4. Use the Mercury platform for updating and reviewing jobs, ensuring accurate data recording.
5. Respond promptly to service requests, assess needs, and perform repairs.
6. Order spare parts as needed for maintenance tasks.
Key Tasks:
1. Perform repairs on building fabric, car park surfaces, or pipework at designated sites.
2. Clean air filters on HVAC equipment.
3. Complete documentation accurately and according to procedures.
4. Identify issues that cannot be repaired and advise management.
5. Work as part of a team across regions, fostering good relationships.
6. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Regional Operations Manager.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
1. Full driving license.
2. GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
3. Proficiency with PC/iPad (Apple and Android).
4. Experience in general building repairs (plumbing, joinery, civil works).
5. Ability to maintain and repair various building fabrics and equipment to standards.
Desirable:
1. Building Trade Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds).
2. Experience in similar roles and environments.
3. Civil works experience.
