About the School
LMPS consists of Lytchett Matravers Preschool and the main primary school, located adjacent to each other on the same site. All learning spaces are purpose-built and resourced to support appropriate development for children aged 4‑11 (Reception – Year 6). The school boasts excellent outdoor facilities, including multiple learning areas, a bespoke space for physical development, a garden area, a mud kitchen, a forest school site, a large field, an orchard, a small woodland, and direct access to a multi‑use sports area.
LMPS is part of the Hillary Partnership of Hamwic Education Trust (HET), a large, fast‑paced multi‑academy trust with 37 schools across the South Coast. The partnership enables local schools to work collaboratively to develop strong education for all children.
Role Summary
The SEND Admin Assistant plays a key role in supporting the SENDCo and SLT with the efficient delivery of SEND provision across the school. The role involves managing all operational and administrative processes to ensure pupils with special educational needs and disabilities receive high‑quality support, and maintaining accurate, compliant records and systems for the school’s SEND data.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the SENDCo and School Leadership Team (SLT) in the delivery of SEND provision.
* Manage all operational and administrative processes related to SEND support.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date SEND records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Coordinate and liaise with external agencies, parents/carers, and internal teams to support pupils with SEND.
