Your Role as an SEN Support Assistant: Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), either 1:1 or in small groups. Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting tasks where required. Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interactions. Help build pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom. Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support strategies. Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment. What You’ll Need: Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (school, care, or community setting desirable). A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships. A proactive attitude and the confidence to use your initiative.
