Overview
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping Ireland deliver its net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s Impact Assessment team, which comprises over 170 staff across Ireland and the UK. We are flexible in terms of office location in Dublin or Cork, with a hybrid working model. Our work supports large-scale development projects across energy, transport, regeneration and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
* Provide Expertise: coordinate environmental inputs to EIA Screening and Scoping reports, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, Environmental Considerations Reports and supporting documents, including the technical review of specialist chapters. Work across all project life stages from strategy and site identification through feasibility, optioneering/option selection, outline design, detailed design, discharge of conditions, construction and operation/maintenance. Manage a portfolio of development projects across multiple consenting regimes (Local Authority, SID, etc.).
* Ensure Quality: apply a critical eye to deliverables to ensure the highest quality standards.
* Project Management: develop project management skills by coordinating resources and budgets (with support as applicable).
* Collaborate: work within integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify environmental constraints, mitigation solutions and opportunities to deliver benefits.
* Client Contact: maintain direct contact with clients and internal supply teams.
* Growth: promote AECOM’s environmental services to internal and external audiences; support business development opportunities and fee and technical proposal development.
Qualifications
* A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (Masters preferred) and an appropriate professional membership.
* EIA consultancy experience, including coordinating the preparation of environmental reports and the technical review of specialist chapters.
* Developing understanding of relevant Irish consenting regimes and environmental legislation.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of an established team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams.
* Developing project management skills, including programming and budget management.
* A commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
* Efficient verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing, and confidence when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups.
