Monday & Friday, 09:00-13:00 & 14:00-17:00
Every 1 Monday in 4, hours will be 11:00-13:00 & 14:00-19:00
Alternate Saturdays, 10:00-13:00
Flexi time is applicable.

The successful candidate will have experience of responding quickly to changing customer and service needs.
This is a busy and varied role in our flagship library, offering support primarily with library services but also a range of Council services which include processing applications for National Entitlement Cards or assistance in accessing Council services online so strong digital, communication and people skills are crucial.
Libraries are warm spaces within local communities and offer opportunities to reduce social isolation by providing a welcoming atmosphere as well as group activities for adults.
Libraries are very popular with children and young people and the successful candidate will have experience of and enjoy working with them. Regular tasks include leading Bookbug song and rhyme sessions, sensory story times, code clubs and other groups for children and families.
Our teams work flexibly across our offices and while the successful candidate for this post will have a base in Haddington Library during the week and Longniddry Library on Saturdays which is paired with Haddington they will also be expected to cover Customer Services within the main council office in John Muir House which could include supporting with homeless enquiries, benefits, rent and council tax and processing payments.
