CMA Recruitment Group is currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a long established and very successful business in Southampton due to continued growth of the business.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will support with the end-to-end payables function through to payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations alongside other aspects of the day to day finance function, making this a really varied and interesting role with lots of scope to develop within the role. This role will offer hybrid working with one day per week working from home subject to a qualifying period.
What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?
Purchase Ledger.
invoice processing through purchase order system, checking for correct coding.
Identify accruals at month end.
Manage suppliers and payments.
Weekly wages administration – timesheet system.
Petty Cash and company credit card processing and reconciliations.
Month End processes, process journals and reconcile control accounts.
Reporting weekly and monthly – extracting data from systems and analysing on Excel.
Support during audits.
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:
Strong payables experience required through to reconciliations and payment runs would be desirable.
Strong Excel skills are essential with ability to extract data from multiple systems for data analysis and reporting purposes.
Self-sufficient and able to work using own initiative.
