Job Description: Junior Proclaim Developer
We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Developer to join our growing development team. This entry-level position offers excellent opportunities for career development and hands-on experience with modern software development practices. The role will primarily focus on developing and customising solutions within the Proclaim case management system, alongside development projects. The successful candidate will work across various projects while receiving mentorship and training, reporting to the Head of IT.
Key Responsibilities
•\tDevelop and customize solutions within the Proclaim case management system to meet business requirements
•\tParticipate in the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
•\tWrite clean, maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices
•\tCreate and maintain technical documentation for Proclaim customizations and other projects
•\tContribute to code reviews and collaborative development processes
•\tBring a fresh set of eyes and forward-thinking ideas.
Learning & Development
•\tParticipate in training programs and professional development opportunities
•\tStay current with emerging technologies and development methodologies
Project Support
•\tAssist with bug fixes, testing, and quality assurance activities
•\tSupport deployment processes and system maintenance tasks
System Maintenance
•\tHelp maintain existing applications and systems
•\tSupport integration projects with third-party systems
•\tContribute to automation and process improvement initiatives
•\tAssist with general IT day to day work. (Might involve fixing a printer every now and then)
Essential Requirements
•\tGenuine passion for technology and strong interest in pursuing a career in software development
•\tDemonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
•\tStrong foundation in programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts
•\tA basic knowledge of at least one modern programming language (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript)
•\tUnderstanding of database concepts
•\tEvidence of self-directed learning through personal projects, online courses, or self-study.
Desirable Requirements
•\tExperience with Proclaim case management system or similar legal software (comprehensive training will be provided regardless of experience level)
•\tFormal qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
•\tExperience with modern web frameworks (React, Angular, .NET, etc.)
•\tKnowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
•\tUnderstanding of agile development methodologies
•\tFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
•\tPrevious internship or work experience in software development
•\tUnderstanding of legal sector workflows and case management processes

Salary Range
£25,000 - £37,000 per annum
